Ghana has completed the project preparatory phase of the Scaling-up Renewable Energy Programme (SREP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Energy Minister, has said.
Today many areas of the planet are experiencing what is described as energy poverty, the condition in which people are unable to ensure the adequate heating (or cooling) of their homes. At the same time, they don’t have an adequate supply of energy for domestic uses.

The Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) have indicated that prices of fuel will be adjusted upwards by at least 7 per cent at the pumps come Saturday, October 16.
