Heritage is a versatile organisation with a portfolio of quality assets managed by a highly experienced team with excellent technical, commercial and financial skills. The Company has producing assets in Nigeria and Russia and exploration assets in Tanzania, Papua New Guinea, Ghana, Malta and Libya.
In July 2014 heritage expanded its portfolio and was awarded two high impact exploration licenses offshore Ghana. The awards provide the opportunity to explore a well-known hydrocarbon region.
ExxonMobil acquired rights in 2018 to explore the ultra-deepwater block Deepwater Cape Three Points. The associated petroleum agreement was ratified in April 2019. ExxonMobil opened a venture office in Accra in June 2019 to progress exploration activities.
The addition of this block reaffirms ExxonMobil’s commitment to pursuing a diverse set of high-quality projects in areas with large resource potential. ExxonMobil will carry out the work program as operator, and have 80 percent interest. GNPC holds 15 percent interest, and GOIL Offshore Ghana Limited holds 5 percent interest.
