NAPO markets Ghana’s gas potential to investors at Gastech 2022

The conference seeks to foster honest and pragmatic dialogue, positioning the natural gas industry as a key component in the solution for the short to mid-term supply of energy

Energy Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh is currently leading a Ghanaian delegation at the Gastech 2022 Strategic Exhibition & Conference underway at the Fiera Milano, Italy.

The conference seeks to foster honest and pragmatic dialogue, positioning the natural gas industry as a key component in the solution for the short to mid-term supply of energy, as well as the broad net-zero ambitions.

The conference gathers leaders from industry, government, finance and technology to share insights and perspectives, discuss crucial industry topics, including changing gas demand dynamics, the impact of new technology, shifts in government policy, and the different solutions required to succeed in the face of growing global ambitions for sustainable integrated energy value chains and net-zero emissions.

Dr. Prempeh joined his colleagues Chief Timpre Sylva and Hardeep Singh Puri, Energy Ministers for Nigeria and India respectively as well as Dwi Soetjipto the chairman for SKK Migas in a Ministerial panel moderated by John Defterios, Professor of Business NYU, Abu Dhabi.

The Ghanaian delegation is seeking to position strategically, Ghana’s gas industry favourably especially as Ghana continues to advocate for the use of natural gas, a cleaner form of energy in the overarching context of a just and a fair energy transition.
